It's an interesting day. I have two openings tonight, and I'm interested to see how they turn out. My work always seems... simple when placed next to other people's work. Yet, the feedback I get is always positive. Go figure... I suppose it'd help if I was more confident in my ability.

Ahh, dogs.

We got a dog today. This is my first australian shepherd. This dog is SMART. It already knows signs for sit and stay and some others I don't know about. Aussies apparently are very good at agility competitions, so we're going to check into that. Fun, fun, fun!

Now this is a new one... I posted a comment on something by a fellow who's work I like that wasn't critical, just asking a question, because it seemed a bit different from his usual photographic work (nudes). This guy is consistantly excellent with his images. Great pose, composition, lighting, etc... So I comment that this one seemed a bit off from his usual great work, and asked if that's what he intended. He responded with "i am not sure what your having problems with maybe your Iq is a bit low ?" WHAT AN ARROGANT JACKASS! I swear, if he had said something like that to me in person, he'd be in an ambulance, and I'd be headed to jail! S

Hey...we enjoyed meeting you. Hope we can connect again soon. I like the abstractions of scale and negative space in some of your figures....and I'd like to see more of the waterballoonhead series.
I enjoyed meeting you and your wife as well. It was fun watching you work.

I don't have any plans to do any more painting on the waterballonhead series, but I am planning some mixed media pieces for it. As far as the general figure drawing/painting, that (should) never stop.
Thanks for watching....
Hey man, it was great meeting you today. I love your gallery, some really awesome stuff in there! :D
Thanks! It was good to meet you too.

I like the new mutant stuff, but as always, I have questions. Namely, what's up with the guy giving the robot the hug, and why's the robot freaking out? Interesting...
Heh.. the robot is Warlock and his buddy on his back is Doug Ramsey (a.k.a. Cypher). Warlock was always more like Doug's pet. This is the New Mutants team from the early 80's and Warlock is always freakin out :D. It's crazy stuff.. heh heh.
